Planning rules relaxation would be good news for Anglian customers

(07th September 2012)

The Government proposals to temporarily relax planning rules on extensions to help boost the British economy will be welcomed by around a third of Anglian Home Improvements’ customers. At a time when many people are choosing to make improvements to their current home rather than move house, this would allow homeowners to build larger extensions on their properties – including conservatories, orangeries and panoramic extensions – without all the cost and time delays currently involved.

The proposed rules would allow people to extend their property by up to eight metres over a three year period. This would be good news for many Anglian Home Improvements’ customers as roughly a third of the planning applications the company is involved with every year are larger than the current three metre limit on extensions now. This would mean that Anglian customers could have their new conservatory, orangery or panoramic extension installed more quickly, enabling them to reap the benefits sooner.
Where planning permission is still required, Anglian Home Improvements will continue to offer its service of handling applications on behalf of its customers, saving them the trouble of completing lengthy and sometimes complicated forms.
