Anglian Triple Glazing Unveiled at Grand Designs Live

(09th October 2014)

Anglian Home Improvements has today (9 October) unveiled its new high-tech triple glazed windows at the opening of Grand Designs Live in Birmingham.

TV environmental science expert Philippa Forrester, who is spearheading the launch, will be presenting a series of educational talks and demonstrations throughout the show within the Innovation Station in the Grand Village. The former Tomorrow’s World presenter will explain the science and technology behind Anglian triple glazing, as well as exposing the real difference between double and triple glazing.

Specially designed to be warmer, quieter and safer, Anglian’s triple glazed windows allow homeowners to fit triple glazing only where it’s really needed, such as north-facing rooms that rarely get any sunlight. Anglian triple glazing has been designed to look the same as its double glazed windows, meaning homeowners can still get perfectly matched windows, retaining the aesthetics and integrity of the home.

Anglian triple glazing has an extra pane of Low E glass – an invisible metal coating, enabling the windows to harvest more free energy from the sun and reflect heat back into the room. The added warmth retained within the property can help to keep energy bills down and reduce the home’s carbon footprint. Meanwhile, the extra pane of glass reduces outside noise and makes the window harder to break, bringing greater security to the home.

The new Anglian triple glazing windows will be available to view alongside the existing double glazed windows on stand B410, within the Build section of Grand Designs Live.

Martin Troughton, Marketing Director at Anglian Home Improvements, says, “We are really excited about the launch of Anglian’s new triple glazed windows and felt that Grand Designs Live was the perfect place to unveil them. We have invested heavily in the research and technology required to be able to make sure we can give homeowners exactly the right solution for their homes and we look forward to explaining this in more detail to visitors at the show.

“The truth is that homeowners in this country don’t generally need triple glazing throughout their properties as the UK climate is relatively mild. However, most of us do have one or two rooms that would benefit from an extra layer of insulation to help retain heat, reduce noise from outside, or improve security, and this is where Anglian’s triple glazing product comes into play. Different rooms have different needs and now, thanks to Anglian’s new triple glazing windows and our ‘mix and match’ design approach, we are able to find the ideal solution for each individual homeowner, on a room by room basis, making their homes more enjoyable all year round.”

Anglian Home Improvements is also exhibiting a stunning timber orangery on stand G208 within the Grand Gardens section of the show. Bespoke-made to fit the customer’s requirements and complement their property, the elegant wooden orangery provides an attractive and seamless extension to the home, as well as bringing an element of the garden indoors.
